It's release in the fall of 2014 will take over the new word of "instant". We are constantly in a state of wanting things immediately. Social media gives us the ability to publish anything and everything at the tips of our fingers. This camera also gives you that ability. The camera itself comes with apps (and apps you can download yourself) on its beautiful yet perfectly sized touch screen.  Not only that, the camera also has feelings (who would have thought?). It tells you the mood it is in by its QR code. It is small, light weight, and has all the qualities of a regular camera that everyone wants (LED flash, stereo speaker, and memory card slot). 

What separates this fantastic new piece of technology from others is a few small but important components. The camera has a 2MpX rear camera, which means you can take as many selfies as you please. It also has a printer inside the camera (what?). You are able to print your pictures immediately. You can print them in any fashion you like, black and white, color, filter, etc. They come out in a standard 2"X 3" size. What does this mean? 

Essentially, this new technology does well is that it allows everyone to be heard (one of our main wants as consumers) (Camp, 25). This camera gives individuals the ability to print their polariods immediately and give them to whoever or keep them for themselves. The apps allows us to communicate with others and be heard on other social platforms. It is also marketed to everyone. Older individuals are familiar with polariod cameras and the younger generation is also familiar with technology at their fingertips. This is the perfect compromise. It brings a little bit of the old world to a newer updated technology.

From a marketing standpoint polariod is doing a good job. While this new technology is extremely exciting, it has not been marketed on any social media at all. This camera in combination with everyone's obsession with instagram gives people the perfect middle ground. It gives us the ability to print the pictures instantly. The website states that an individual can download Facebook, twitter, and instagram (along with many other apps). As society we love to have our pictures all over every social media platform and that would be a big make or break for this camera. Overall, it looks to be easy to carry and very user friendly. This new technology would appeal to any individual of any age.
